The Capital Market Law Day brings together the leading minds, experts and practitioners for an annual crisp update on all relevant aspects.

The European Union launched an initiative for a Listing Act at the end of November. The aim of this European project is to simplify access to all capital markets, i.e. not only to stock exchanges but also to other trading platforms. The relevant legal acts, in particular the Prospectus Ordinance, the MiFID Market Abuse Ordinance and the Transparency Directive, are to be questioned again. It is true that all of the legal acts mentioned here were only recently put into effect or amended. However, the European Union recognizes that some of the individual regulations go too far and do not differentiate enough to make going public and remaining on the capital market appear attractive enough to finance the company in the long term.
