Access to affordable, flexible, and efficient capital remains the primary barrier to small business and entrepreneurial development in the United States, and an ongoing challenge in the United Kingdom. In an effort to uncover better solutions to the capital access challenges facing American and U.K. small businesses and entrepreneurs, CDFA has partnered with U.K. based Responsible Finance to examine the financing strategies pursued by public and private financiers in both nations. This transatlantic collaboration will examine how our countries approach lending, underwriting, credit evaluation, risk assessments and fairness and equity when addressing barriers to capital access. During this installment of the CDFA // BNY Mellon Development Finance Webcast Series, learn from U.S. and U.K. experts how each country addresses their respective access to capital challenges, and the ways in which our two countries' can learn from one another to unlock capital.
