Details

The Central Government's decision to protect Vietnam's geo-political boundaries through 5G has changed the country's Cloud Computing and Data Center landscape. Vietnam's decision to give Viettel, the nation's largest telecommunications company, its first 5G trial license is a clear signal that Cybersecurity remains at the heart of connectivity development. Viettel has partnered with Nordic companies such as Nokia and Ericsson, to supplement their 5G toolkit. The success of the implementation is a clear indication that the only path taken by the Central Government to ensure national security interests above all is a viable and financially responsible option. . With national suppliers exhibiting greater independence, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is at the heart of the country's push towards Industry 4.0. The Cybersecurity focus of the Cloud and Data Center ecosystem ensures close partnerships with Government organizations. In parallel with the development of 5G through a national lens and network security, is the remarkable growth in the number of Internet users in Vietnam. The Internet penetration level of Vietnam's population is nearly 96 million people, which has grown by more than 40% this year. Breaking down the numbers by context, this marks the current internet level of 60 million users. Aware of this, the Vietnamese government has embarked on a national digital transformation master plan, committing US$415 million to the ICT sector by 2020 (Source: BMI Vietnam Information) Technology Report 2016).
