Webinar Details
Privacy laws and the GLBA require financial institutions to respect and protect the privacy of the organization, employees, accountholders, consumers, job applicants, and other internal and external parties. Institutions are obligated to establish and enforce mandatory rules and procedures for the acquisition, use, transmission, disclosure, and retention of confidential and sensitive information, including personally identifiable information (PII), nonpublic personal information (NPI), and business records. Noncompliance and security breaches can result in regulatory audits, litigation, civil and criminal penalties, monetary fines, and possible imprisonment.
With this webinar you’ll learn to distinguish sensitive information from confidential data, recognize the difference between records and non-records, and apply privacy dos and don'ts. You'll gain the skills necessary to minimize risks, maintain information integrity, and maximize compliance. Provided tools will include a sample policy, a whitepaper, and a fact sheet.
Who Should Attend?
This informative session is a must for records management staff, compliance professionals, the legal team, human resources personnel, marketing staff, and other employees who handle confidential and sensitive information on behalf of the financial institution.
