At the outset of the pandemic, experts predicted a surge in bankruptcy filings. While there have been some notable filings and some sectors have been more affected than others, a prolonged and pervasive surge has not yet materialized. Our speakers will discuss some of the reasons why. They will also provide an overview of what they have seen with respect to corporate filings during the pandemic including in terms of industries impacted and trends in the cases. The presentation will also include a discussion of what can be expected in the year to come and measures that can be taken to mitigate your exposure when dealing with financially troubled companies.
