Threats posed by cybercriminals, worldwide are persistent and constantly evolving and last year, we saw a 72% increase in malicious attacks on critical systems, specifically in Europe compared to the previous year. With an ever-growing number of cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure, security experts are finding that their work has become a race against the attackers. Securing a nation state and its critical infrastructure is more difficult than a single company, how do you ensure that you protect each individual actor, while also ensuring the resilience of the network as a whole?

Large-scale blackouts have increased the number and complexity of cyber-attacks, highlighting the wide range of possible risks.
The growing volume and complexity of cyber attackers and attack techniques is exacerbating the problem. In addition, attacks are becoming more innovative and sophisticated to disrupt security through hacking systems. It is a challenge for companies and security analysts to overcome these challenges and defend themselves against these attacks.

With that in mind, CS Summit: Government and Critical Instructure 2022 will be focused on:
• Standards: address weak points in the security of national infrastructure through the adoption of nation wide standards
• Communication and threat intelligence: sharing information on the nature and incidence of cyber security attacks
• Governance: ensuring that an employee’s access to information is appropriate to the function they perform
• Zero trust: ensuring that no users or devices are automatically granted access to your network
• Business continuity and disaster recovery: ensuring that you have a plan to respond to an attack and build in resilience
