To power a tech-driven economy by 2030, the Malaysian Govt. has launched a 10-year digital economy blueprint called MyDIGITAL. The datacentre & cloud industry has emerged as the key enabler for realizing this vision.

With all the favourable conditions like cost-competitive power availability, easy access to skilled employees, abundant renewable energy along with a relatively cheaper access to land and construction costs in the ASEAN region, the Malaysian datacentre market size is set to witness $1.4 billion investment by 2026. The country’s public cloud market alone has reached $643.4 million, making it the second-biggest cloud market in Southeast Asia.

Malaysia has surfaced as a mature location for renewable energy in ASEAN and the country’s connectivity to the rest of the region provides an additional edge.
