The Future of and with Large Language Models:
• Two years ago, OpenAI released ChatGPT, triggering the deployment of large language models and other generative AI across all industries. The widespread application of AI on a human level seemed imminent and many feared for their jobs. Now the hype has faded and it becomes apparent where changes have taken place and where they have not. We offer an analysis of developments to date and examine how the application of generative AI will develop in the future.

When becomes Artificial Intelligence intelligent:
• AI excels at well-defined tasks such as protein folding but fails at tasks that involve uncertainty and new challenges, such as autonomous driving. Despite ongoing promises that AI will soon be at least as intelligent as humans, and despite incredible amounts of computing power, data and human efforts, there is still no human-level AI. We offer an analysis of this apparent contradiction and show why current AI systems are not intelligent and what is needed to change this.

The next level of AI:
• The application of humanoid robotics. Robotics plays a crucial role in automation and has enabled economic benefits that allow complex products to be manufactured cost-effectively. However, the application of robotics is challenging: they require sophisticated design and programming, and the environment must be adapted to their needs entire fabrics and even the products themselves are designed so that robots can perform well. In contrast, humanoid robots are designed to fulfil tasks in the human world: Instead of adapting the environment to their needs, they adapt to the human environment. Humanoid robotics is in the early stages of development and so far there are only a few prototypes, but this will change rapidly over the next few years. We provide insights into the current state of the field and what role humanoids will play in the economy in the near future.
