As interest rates sit at record lows, and correlations with risk assets remain elevated, conventional fixed income assets are under pressure to justify their place in institutional portfolios. Interventionist policies around the world fan the flames of a recovery while markets debate inflation vs deflation, but governments and central banks must rely on markets to trust their words and actions will remain consistent. However, actions are not without consequence, and market beliefs are being tested.
This Forum brings together key allocators to re-examine the role of traditional fixed income, and explore alternatives across the fixed income and credit space that may supplement its defensive role. Balancing risk and return is increasingly complex and we seek to promote meaningful peer discussion to find possible solutions to the most topical and impactful problems faced.
Who should attend?
Chief investment officers, Heads of Asset Classes, Investment Committee Members, Senior Investment Staff and Trustees of institutional investor entities directly or indirectly managing fund assets.
