Objectives
This course considers some of the specific issues arising from the implementation of FRS 102 and includes several worked examples to help participants understand the practical impact on the financial statements.
Content is likely to include:
•Property issues – including investment properties and those within PPE together with related deferred and current tax issues
•Intangibles and business combinations – including website and software development expenditure; goodwill both positive and negative
•Consolidations – including piecemeal acquisitions
•Cash flow statements
•Financial instruments – including financing transactions and forward exchange contracts
•Other areas, such as, equity instruments, lease accounting and revenue recognition
•Recent and pending changes to FRS 102
