FT Adviser’s new one day event - free to UK financial intermediaries - will bring you the views of industry and regulatory experts on the latest challenges facing advisers, and how they can be overcome. Advisers are offered a selection of 3 'tracks' during the day where the latest mortgage, investment and pension developments will be explored and explained in-depth. Attendees will earn CPD and return to their offices equipped with the very latest knowledge - and new ideas about how best to assist their clients.
Pension freedoms, which came into force in 2015, have proved to be a double-edged sword; it has provided greater flexibility for consumers and yet has caused greater confusion.
While the average Briton is able to take control of their pension pot at 55, figures from the Association of British Insurers, the Financial Conduct Authority and the Department for Work and Pensions all indicate there are significant numbers of people who, not having financial advice, might be making the wrong choices at retirement.
How can the pensions industry work together to improve access to guidance, information and advice? What sort of products are available, and are they meeting the needs of Britons? What opportunities are there for financial advisers to lead the charge in helping people secure their financial futures?
This forum brings together industry experts and policy makers to explore ways to make the pensions freedom and choice regime work for everyone.
