A flagship event for the investment industry for a quarter of a century, the Fund Manager of the Year Awards honour fund managers and groups at the top of their game who have demonstrated consistently strong performance for investors and whom the judging panel believe have the potential to continue to outperform in the future.

New awards this year include separate categories for China and India funds to reflect interest from Investment Week readers in single strategy vehicles in these regions. Meanwhile, Investment Week has also acknowledged the investment industry is undergoing a significant transformation in terms of its approach to sustainable and ESG investing. This year for the first time we are going to ask shortlisted groups explicitly about sustainability and ESG factors for the individual fund and group categories, which will then form part of the judges’ qualitative assessments. We have also introduced a new group category for Outstanding Achievement in Sustainable and ESG Investing to recognise progress in this area.
