Production is down. No one knows why. Someone mentions a "minor change." Another claims they didn't touch anything. The logs are inconclusive. The guessing and blame games begin. Sound familiar?

In this talk, we'll see how GitOps proposes a disciplined and observable approach to infrastructure and deployment management, using Git as the single source of truth. We'll explore how this model transforms chaos into clarity, with versioned, auditable, and replicable processes.

We'll focus on ArgoCD as the tool that puts GitOps into practice within Kubernetes, automating synchronization, validation, and rollback by simply looking at the repository state. We'll review key GitOps principles, its architecture, typical workflows, and how it integrates with real-world environments.

If you've ever had to investigate "who touched what" in production, this talk will show you how GitOps can give you answers, traceability, and, most importantly, control.

On this occasion, we welcome speaker, a Systems Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the technology sector, with a special focus on banking and telecommunications. He began his career as a software developer and, over time, evolved into roles in software architecture and DevOps project leadership.

Passionate about sharing knowledge, Johan is the author of the book "DevOps in Our Language," a project created to bring these practices closer to the Spanish-speaking community. He enjoys giving talks, writing, and connecting with professionals who share his passion for innovation, efficient management, and continuous learning.

Convinced that technology transcends tools and focuses on people, ideas, and purpose, Johan shares his experiences, mistakes, and lessons learned to inspire others to forge their own path in this fascinating world.
