Dealmaking activity in the EMEA region is stagnating at a 10-year low as high-interest rates majorly impact private equity activity, and a more challenging competition law environment deters companies from pursuing rivals. The decrease in volume of big deals worth over 10bn euros has been particularly evident, dropping around 40 per cent over the first nine months of the year compared with the same period in 2022. The event will convene dealmakers to explore M&A activity and trends in the EMEA. The focus of the webinar will be on the opportunities and challenges that will be faced by dealmakers in 2024.
