A two-part panel discussion focused on empowering entrepreneurs, especially small businesses In partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC), BCIU is organizing a half-day event along the UN General Assembly’s 78th (UNGA 78) session in New York. The theme of the General Assembly’s 78th session will be ‘Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) towards peace, prosperity, progress, and sustainability for all.
In line with the theme of UNGA 78, ITC and BCIU will meaningfully engage key stakeholders from governments, multilateral organisations, the private sector, including MSMEs, brands and retailers, to identify solutions to empower small businesses to contribute to SDGs through international trade.
At this Summit, ITC will launch a Call to Action. This Call to Action is open to all actors working to promote sustainability enablers along global value chains. The Call to Action represents an opportunity for those who want to concretely and publicly contribute to driving sustainable trade, and to connect with others working towards the same goal.
