The security of the nation’s infrastructure and cyber assets is understandably a top priority for the Australian Government. It’s clear to see a real commitment to uplifting Australia’s cyber security posture for business and citizens, highlighted by the appointment of Australia’s first ever Minister for Cyber Security.
The push to make Australia “the most cyber secure nation by 2023” must also extend to uplifting the security capabilities of our public sector. Embedding more resilience in government departments and agencies as well as coordinating breach responses and minimising breach impacts are imperative to achieving this.
This summit will bring together senior security leaders from across the Australian Public Service to discuss the current state of cyber security in Australia and strategies for more cyber resilience in Government.
