The benefits and risks of AI are in the focus of public discussion like no other IT before. But what implications does this have for CIOs, CDOs and CTOs who play a key role in shaping the future of their companies? What does this mean for the technical, organizational and cultural framework conditions that have to change due to the high pressure to innovate?

Our main topics in 2024:
• AI - Five Perspectives - In addition to impressive AI cases, we will take a close look at the political framework (e.g. EU AI act) as well as the effects on the world of work in general and specific industrial peace.

• Technical Excellence – AI places great demands on the data foundation. The ongoing battle for data quality is more relevant than ever. What does the technology stack have to look like in order to meet the new requirements? What does the right mix of experimental areas and governance look like?

• Operational Excellence – Many IT organizations are once again under strong cost pressure and are moving ever closer to and into the specialist departments. What skills, what architectures and what organizational and leadership models are needed for this?

• Cloud vs OnPrem – Cloud computing has increasingly been considered a model of success for around 10 years, and many software solutions can now only be obtained as services. Nevertheless, companies that operate parts of their IT themselves again are always making people sit up and take notice. How do the approaches compare costs and is there a threat of vendor lock-in?

• Security – Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in security on both the attacker and defender sides. What needs to be done to avoid being left behind in this race?

• Sustainability vs Greenwashing – IT-related resource consumption is increasing worldwide. On the other hand, IT offers numerous opportunities to operate more sustainably, for example using digital twins and leaner processes. Where are the opportunities and who is taking advantage of them?
