Informa Australia are pleased to announce the 16th Annual Health Insurance Summit which will be held on the 27th & 28th of July 2017 at the Swissotel, Sydney. The event aims to provide a government and policy based discussion on legislative and regulatory changes and issues for reform, and its impact on the Private Health Insurance industry.
The Private Health Insurance (PHI) industry is increasingly under pressure by the Government health reform, with recurrent themes to change the PHI rebate, cut spending and reshape the future role of health insurers. High claims inflation and increasing utilisation costs means that premiums continue to rise and perpetuates the trend for members to downsize their level of cover, all of which adds to the intense competition within the industry.
Health insurers are on the lookout for new business strategies and are turning towards innovative solutions to overcome health inflation and better manage costs. New medical innovation and advances in technology are providing the next step forward to help facilitate business efficiencies in the PHI industry.
The 16th National Health Insurance Summit will bring together senior level representatives to discuss the current challenges the PHI industry is facing, as well as offer new strategies and solutions to appeal to their members.
