REIT, or real estate investment trust, is a collective investment scheme that aims to deliver a source of recurrent income to investors through focused investment in a portfolio of income-generating properties such as shopping malls, offices, hotels, and service apartments in Hong Kong and/or overseas. REITs provide regular income distribution to investors. At least 90% of a REIT’s net income after tax (after adjusted for losses/gains from real estate evaluation or disposal) will be distributed to its investors. Most REITs trade on major stock exchanges and they provide a stable return for investors in terms of capital gain and dividend yield in long run.
With immense pleasure, CFA Society Hong Kong is co-hosting this webinar with Hong Kong Investor Relations Association (HKIRA), and we are pleased to have Ms. Amy Luk of Champion REIT and Ms. Ada Ho of Fortune REIT to introduce their business and share their work in investor relations (IR). These two companies have totally different property portfolios. One mainly consists of shopping mall and office and the latter covers residential area inside shopping malls which appeals to the mass market. Despite their differences, both companies are committed to IR and are willing to communicate with investors. They are both members of the HKIRA IR Pledge Program. Let’s learn more about their businesses and their dedication in investor relations!
Last but not least, Mr. Alfred Lau, CFA, Director of CFA Society Hong Kong, as well as Investor Relations Manager at MTR Corporation, would be the moderator during the discussion session.
