Fireside chat with Maura Cunningham, Founder and CEO of Rock The Street, Wall Street, a financial and investment literacy program designed to spark the interest of a diverse population of high school girls into careers of finance.

Financial Women of San Francisco is partnering with Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS) to address what we can do to help girls with financial literacy and groom them for careers in finance. Maura Cunningham will discuss her organization's mission to 1) help high school girls become both finance literate and investment literate and 2) develop a pipe-line of talent for the financial services industry. Maura astutely observes that girls in the U.S., in contrast to many other countries, opt out of math at age 9 which is a key basic knowledge essential for finance/investments and therefore we face a cultural obstacle.
