Several key issues for agriculture loom on the horizon for agriculture. First, the next farm bill is on the horizon. Since the last farm bill was passed, we’ve had trade wars, a pandemic, and a change in leadership for the federal government. Secondly, input prices remain at elevated levels with commodity prices stagnating. This has led to lower expectations for net farm income across much of the United States. The 2023 Advanced Agricultural Banking School seeks to educate bankers on these two themes to best position their bank for what may lie ahead in agriculture
Who Should Attend
Agricultural bankers with a strong desire to further their knowledge of financial analysis, commodity marketing, and risk management. This program is specifically targets toward graduates of the Midwest Agricultural Banking Schools or similar programs with a minimum of three years of agricultural lending experience.
