This Event delivers results and enables companies to significantly improve their performance while adding business value. The next challenge for any IT organization is now to act more and more like a software company in order to be able to quickly deliver digital innovations. Why? Because more than half of the European economy will be driven by digital products and services in the next three years. As IT organizations evolve to support the future needs of businesses, so does the role of DevOps.
In order to be successful, companies must set all the levers of process, technology and cultural change in motion. By the end of 2022, 80% of European companies will adopt DevOps, but only 10% will be characterized by accelerated performance and shorter delivery cycles - cultural inertia is a key stumbling block.
For DevOps to become second nature, organizations need to rethink how products and services are funded, managed, and delivered, but also consider tool complexity, culture, business goals, and sourcing models. There is a balance to be struck between investing in technology (such as API management, open source repositories, security integration and modern app architectures) on the one hand and investing in organizational change, training and skills development on the other.
