As DX progresses, there are a wide range of transformations that utilize new technology. In particular, there is a common recognition that promoting ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management is an essential and urgent issue for companies to aim for sustainable growth. Masu. Since data collection and analysis are important in ESG management, the IT/DX department plays an important role. Additionally, for many companies, IT accounts for a significant portion of the company's overall carbon footprint. Here too, IT/DX departments are required to contribute to sustainability. On the other hand, an IDC survey revealed that more than 50% of domestic companies have not yet implemented practical ESG initiatives.
IDC Japan will be holding the "IDC IT Sustainability Forum Japan" with the aim of helping domestic user companies promote ESG initiatives. The first year, 2024, will focus on data collection, management, and analysis, and sustainable IT infrastructure, which are common to undertaking "E," "S," and "G." Primarily targeted at people in the IT/DX department, IDC IT analysts will explain the concept and importance of ESG, effective technologies, etc. based on IDC's framework and make recommendations. Sponsoring partners will introduce useful products/services and case studies to user companies that are working on ESG or are planning to do so.
