If 2018 became an unusually tough year for IT security experts, 2019 will now prove to be at least as intense. In recent years, we have had to deal with an increasingly dynamic threat scenario, dealing with ransomware and other cyberattacks, as well as meeting the challenge of regulatory compliance on a new level with the new Data Protection Act. At the same time, the business is increasingly digitalised with constantly new needs from the organization and demands from customers.
Looking ahead, it does not look less challenging. Organizations of all types and sizes continue to be digitized and transformed with new technologies, such as IoT and Cloud. GDPR, integrity and trust will continue to be a top priority, even after GDPR comes into force in May 2018.
