They will discuss the EU's new AI Act and how uses by insurers may be treated high-risk, meaning greater regulation and consumer protection dimensions. Aspects of data protection law which are unique to AI profiling and automated decision making will be discussed. He will talk on the need for a "human in the loop" to avoid fully automated decision-making obligations and liability issues affecting AI systems and products.
