PDAC International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange is the world’s leading convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration and development. In addition to meeting over 1,000 exhibitors, 3,800 investors and 24,000 attendees from 130 countries, you can also attend technical sessions, short courses and networking events. The four-day annual convention held in Toronto, Canada, has grown in size, stature and influence since it began in 1932 and today is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industries.

Programming:

• Technical Program
The PDAC 2018 Convention Planning Committee designs the Technical Program and invites speakers to present. Industry experts will share timely insights during this dynamic series of presentations. Attendees will learn next and best practices that can be utilized right away.

• Aboriginal Program
The Aboriginal Program at the PDAC Convention provides a platform for discussion on fostering cooperative, respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships between Aboriginal communities and the minerals industry. This program brings Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal-owned companies together with the industry and other interested parties to share experiences, exchange ideas and network.

• Capital Markets Program
The Capital Markets Program is intended to create a forum for a dialogue on a range of topics related to the financing of mineral exploration. Access to capital is the lifeblood of the mineral exploration industry.

• CSR Event Series
Since 2010, the Corporate Social Responsibility Event Series (“CSR Event Series”) has aimed to facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue and peer-learning on key issues related to responsible exploration and mining. CSR Event Series’ speakers highlight opportunities and challenges linked to improved performance, as well as lessons learned along the way. Topics discussed are both current and critical to the continued improvement of CSR performance in the industry.

• Student Program
The world renowned PDAC Convention offers students a unique opportunity to network with industry professionals from around the world. Last year the convention attracted over 1,200 students from across Canada, the USA and internationally.

• Corporate Presentation Forum for Investors
The Corporate Presentation Forum for Investors is a popular series that features up-to-the-minute information on select exploration and development companies' current activities and investment potential.

• Exploration Insights
Exploration Insights is a high-profile venue for speakers who wish to present topical subjects at the Convention in a forum outside the themed Technical Sessions.

• Short Courses
Short Courses are in-depth educational sessions led by presenters with expertise in a variety of different subject matters. Need professional development hours to maintain your professional designation? Upon request, PDAC will provide a certificate of completion for Short Courses to help you meet your PD hour requirements. The Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) supports participation of its members in these courses as an acceptable Continuing Professional Development activity.
