Why is Bolton generating so much interest from out of town and why is now such an exciting time for businesses within the town? Part of the renaissance of the Greater Manchester town is down to a proposed £100m of development funding. New life is also being breathed into old sites and both Bolton and Farnworth town centres are being regenerated. The local university is riding high as one of the top universities in the country for student satisfaction – and this means the town needs to up its game in retaining such top talent. From the council masterminds behind the redevelopment, to companies like AO that are world leaders in their sectors, to the up-and-coming companies of tomorrow, Insider will assemble panels that will detail for those in Bolton, what the opportunities are, and for those out of town, why now is the time to look at Bolton in a new light. We will also hear directly from some of the developers that are redesigning and redefining the town.

The Bolton 2030 Vision aims to create a vibrant town, with strong cohesive communities, successful businesses and healthy residents. The town centre itself has received hundreds of millions of pounds worth of investment and this is being rolled out to the surrounding areas. Bolton Council has committed £100m of development funding, with the total value of the masterplan likely to rise to £1.2bn as private sector partners are secured. The authority has chosen the same company behind the Bolton town centre regeneration plan - architectural firm Building Design Partnership (BDP) - to create Farnworth’s masterplan. Crompton Place shopping centre in Bolton has been snapped up for £14.8m as part of plans to accelerate the town centre's proposed £1bn regeneration.
