In her first highly acclaimed book, “What’s Mine is Yours” (HarperCollins, 2010), she defined the theory of collaborative consumption, which articulates the shift in consumer values from ownership to access. The concept was subsequently named by TIME as one of the “Ten Ideas That Will Change the World” and by Thinkers50 as the 2015 Breakthrough Idea. She designed and teaches the world’s first MBA course on the subject at Oxford University’s Saïd School of Business.

Her forthcoming book, “Who Can You Trust?” (Hachette, October 2017) reveals that we are at the tipping point of one of the biggest social transformations in human history. While trust in all kinds of institutions is collapsing, the rise of new technologies is enabling what she calls the age of “distributed trust” across networks of people, organizations and intelligent machines.
