The increasing importance of the Metaverse and the rapid progression of AI development and applications bring disruptive opportunities, but are challenging the current legal framework and it is struggling to keep pace. Harnessing the power of AI could have a transformational effect on several workflows and processes within in-house law practices, yielding dramatic improvements in operational efficiency.

Given the exponential rise of AI tools and applications in the broader market, it’s critical that in-house counsels understand the key aspects about the adoption of these emerging technologies – particularly the gaps in regulation and law and the legal and ethical issues (e.g. who owns the rights to AI-generated content?).

In this regard, a group of experts and IP practitioners exchange views on the below discussion points:

Learning Objectives:
• Discussing the practical applications of what organizations can accomplish with AI now
• Reviewing the IP aspects of the new tools and looking at how technology can support in-house teams
• Examining the gaps in regulation and law
• Analysing safe versus unsafe practices
• Investigating the legal and ethical issues - e.g. who owns the rights to AI-generated content?
• Leveraging today’s particular tools and processes to streamline your workflows
