2018 is a ground-breaking year for the LGPS with the establishment of the 8 combined investment pools. It coincides with the LGC Investment Summit reaching a significant milestone as we are celebrating our 30th anniversary.
The Summit has always been primarily about investment, and this is where we will continue to focus most of our attention but of course we will also provide the essential update on the progress that pension funds are making in transitioning to combined investment pools.
The investment landscape continues to evolve with individual funds re-setting asset allocations in light of the 2016 valuation and now beginning to look forward to the 2019 valuation, taking stock of the impact of fundamental political and economic change; and continuing to maintain a long term perspective despite the immediate impact of Austerity.
