Lending to developing markets raises many questions, not all of which have readily available answers. What is certain in a developing markets context, however, is that it has always been a more challenging environment in which to operate. That being said, those who are able to navigate those challenges and spot opportunities successfully can reap attractive rewards, assuming that they have a full understanding of the sector and jurisdiction in which they are seeking to operate.

This will be the LMA's 7th annual Developing Markets Conference and is viewed by our members as the go-to-event covering this region. Last year, the conference attracted over 300 attendees from over 100 organisations, including banks/investment banks, non-bank investors, supranational institutions, DFIs, corporates, technology providers and law firms.

The agenda will run as plenary throughout the day covering Russia, CEE/CIS, Turkey, the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. On the day, so as to maximise the networking opportunities, we are creating networking zones and hot topic tables during lunch time.
