The Covid-19 pandemic has brought the future closer. Changes, be they how we work, socially interact, and purchase goods and services, which might have taken a decade have been accelerated. Some will not be reversed, whilst others will be adjusted as we move forward. Shaping and understanding those changes will be important as the loan market adapts to the new opportunities, be they technological and/or behavioural.
The loan market is widely recognised as having performed well through the Covid crisis, but we must not be complacent as there are new challenges to meet and opportunities to take as we work together to shape the future.
Our 14th annual conference was virtual this year based on feedback from members, ongoing travel restrictions which prevented overseas attendance and safety considerations. However this virtual format meant that it could be streamed live to all our members around the world in over 65 countries.
Participants had the chance to listen to virtual speaker panels, take part in interactive debates and to network online with LMA members around the world.
