Organized by the United Nations Global Compact, Global Compact Network Portugal and Global Compact Network Spain, Making Global Goals Local Business – Iberia will convene leaders from local and global business, civil society, Government, Global Compact Local Networks and the UN to direct collective action towards the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This event will be an opportunity for business to play a more active role in the process, and analyze the progress made towards finding innovative solutions for industry, water stewardship and clean energy through the introduction of better practices and experiences. It will use the experiences of Portuguese and Spanish companies as an example of global-local connections, Government and private sector collaboration and networking. There will be high-level attendance from both national Governments to further engage with companies to drive solutions forward.
