Technology is driving change in Africa and the telecom sector is set to thrive. GSMA Intelligence has shown that since 2014 4G has reached an extra 200 million people, 40 million new social media accounts, and 30,000 active mobile applications developed locally. Now, with the demands of highly influential Millennial and Generation Z consumers, the African Union is aiming to bring the continent on par with the rest of the world as an information society. As tech and entrepreneurship gathers speed across the region, a new age is fast emerging in Africa: the age of the digital citizen. As the number of active users and investment continues to grow, what do citizens of the future want? In 2018, the conference focused on ‘who was leading the digital revolution’, but in 2019, we look at who benefits from the digital revolution. What impact will digital have on the job market, content creation, commercial trends, and what are the key stepping-stones for creating a digital society that is inclusive and secure for the future?
Why attend?
From the producers of MWC Barcelona, Mobile 360 – Africa is the largest GSMA event on the continent of Africa. Under the theme Rise of the Digital Citizen, Mobile 360 – Africa gathers leaders from Africa’s tech and telecom landscape to share disruptive, provocative, and inspirational ideas contributing to Africa’s digital rise. The event offers a range of opportunities to advance your business, grow your customer base, and exchange game-changing ideas. Each pass includes access to the full slate of activities including all conference sessions, networking activities, #BetterFuture Stage sessions, partner programmes, interactive workshops, and more.
