We are experiencing a Cambrian explosion in data science: It was once a niche discipline - now it is the core of successful companies such as Amazon, Tesla, Alibaba & Co. Every company has established one or even several AI labs, data offices or analytics excellence centers. Medium-sized companies are also starting their first analytics projects and data initiatives. Across all industries, we see an ever-growing number of new innovative use cases for data & analytics. While a few years ago we only talked about the “Data Scientist”, today we need Data Strategists, Analytics Translators, Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Stewards, DataOps Engineers, Data Product Designers and countless other specialized roles.
