With recent high-profile tenders for telecoms in Ethiopia and Angola, as well as airlines in South Africa, the privatisation of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) represents a clear opportunity for investors in Africa. However, navigating tender processes can be challenging and investing in SOEs brings its own set of risks.
