Open Banking is set to be a major source of innovation in banking. In brief, the term “Open Banking” refers to the opening up of the banking sector to non-banks by allowing third parties to access the data of bank customers. This will allow those non-banks to initiate payments on a customer’s behalf, increasing both competition and customer choice in the process.
