For the UK to keep up with new trends and technology there must be a rapid change in policies, adoption, and attitudes to avoid being left behind in an increasingly connected world. In this ever-changing world there needs to be a shift in how these technologies are adopted and legislation put in place to match the speed of these growing markets. The UK Government is beginning to take steps with new departments such as the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology being established in February 2023, but as the emergence of new technologies like AI causes concern amongst citizens, what more needs to be done to ensure the interests of the public and businesses are considered?
