The Oxford Real Estate Society is an organisation made up of real estate professionals, students, and enthusiasts who share a common interest in the industry. OxRES is open to all students and alumni from the University of Oxford and is affiliated with the Oxford Real Estate Programme at Saïd Business School run by Professor Andrew Baum.
The 2019 conference will be held on 20 March at Oxford Saïd. The conference will focus on 10 years after the global financial crisis, what lessons do we need to remember?
It will explore lessons learnt from the downturn, from how to prepare for a correction to incorporating flexibility in asset management strategies, as well as a wider assessment of the impact of real estate cycles. It will also be exploring themes that appear different this time around, from approaches to fixing European housing markets to the evolution of proptech. Finally it will look ahead to debate the potential consequences of the next real estate downturn.
The conference will include four panels, a debate, a keynote speaker and ample networking opportunities. The day will conclude with a cocktail reception and an optional dinner at an Oxford College.
