Corporate Tax Payers in virtually all tax administrations constitute the single largest tax paying group. This is coupled by the fact that a significant portion of their contribution is attributable to Multinational Enterprises. It is estimated that although in number corporate tax payers are hardly 20% of the total universe, they contribute about 80% of total taxes on average. It is thus pertinent to engage them to understand drivers behind their compliance and non-compliance and devise ways and means of addressing them. Furthermore, their enhanced compliance would reduce the cost of tax administration significantly, leading to savings which can be channelled towards enforcement in other areas. The interactive meeting will generate output which will enable tax administrations effectively address matters pertaining to the corporate sector. Ideal participants will be heads of large taxpayers’ unit or designated senior officials two per country. Representation should be senior officer with good grounding on the operations of their respective tax systems and capable of articulating matters of interest effectively.
