M&A transactions are not an everyday occurrence - complex acquisitions and the structured financing required for them often pose major challenges for finance departments. In addition to the transaction, the effects on the acquiring company in terms of liquidity, financial covenants and debt compliance (with existing financing agreements) must be analyzed.
On the basis of our many years of experience in the area of ​​acquisition financing (both in the investment grade and leveraged area), we have designed a one-day, in-depth training for our basic course "Financial Modeling for the Finance Department". In this training we create an integrated financial model in Excel for mapping a company acquisition and the corresponding acquisition financing. In addition to modeling, we also deal with special features in loan documentation and possible pitfalls in existing financing modules.
Our financial models are based on international financial modeling standards and are regularly adopted by banks for project and acquisition financing without an additional "model audit".
