The Summit MEA bases the judging criteria on the true purpose of advertising and marketing: to change, influence, or reinforce the consumer’s knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs.

Judging scope

Instead of relying on traditional measures, the Effectiveness Award offers an opportunity to demonstrate how you have overcome barriers and achieved your objectives and share how you assessed effectiveness. Judging assesses the following:

• The Big Idea – Strength of creative approach relative to the audience and product/service/idea. Strategies used to overcome barriers.
• Does it move the audience closer to action through the use of creative execution and strategic planning?
• Does it influence, change, or reinforce the knowledge, attitudes, or beliefs of the audience?
