As one of the top financial centers in the Asia Pacific region and a major offshore RMB center, Taiwan stands at the forefront of boasting its solid financial system with its robust payments system and a continuously developing securities sector, and has ambitions to modernise its systems to better connect with the rest of the world. Taiwan is also home to many of the world’s most innovative technology companies and is now showing a growing interest in FinTech.
This year’s SWIFT Open Day Taiwan, co-hosted by Financial Information Services Co Ltd (FISC), will take place on 11 May, gathering the local community representing financial institutions, market infrastructures, regulators, multinational corporations and other industry experts to discuss pertinent issues concerning the nation’s financial market.
