THE PURPOSE OF THE CHIEF INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (CISOA) IS TO:
• Provide direction to information systems professionals in California community colleges.
• Provide for professional growth and development of association members.
• Provide an efficient vehicle for communicating among information systems officers, other community college personnel, the Chancellor’s Office and other state agencies.
• Increase recognition of the value and necessity of information systems for effective planning and management of individual districts and the California community colleges as a whole.
We aspires to be an inclusive, anti-racist organization through cultivating and expanding a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion both within our organization and the IT operations our members represent. We believe our strength as a system comes from our diversity and the best way to innovate and meet the challenges of the future is through an IT workforce that represents the background, individuality, and beliefs of the students we are here to support.
