Euromoney’s definitive Egypt Conference will return to Cairo on 20-21 September for it’s 21st year.
2016 is set to be a pivotal year for Egypt. Global and regional headwinds have only made the challenges Egypt faces more numerous and more intractable. Can the goodwill and promises made at the EEDC be realised? Will the new administration of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail maintain the reform momentum? Will long-running issues such as exchange rate and dollar shortages be solved by the new governor of the CBE? Can Egypt continue to play a positively nuanced political role in an increasingly polarised region? Will global market instability reflect on Egypt's export potential? Can tourism be revived in the face of continued security concerns? We are monitoring the development of the answers to all of these questions and we are sure to have many updates by September.
