Euromoney is coming back to Egypt at a pivotal time!

Egypt is facing a stormy global economy. Buffeted by financial and geopolitical headwinds the government of Egypt could be forgiven for changing tack and losing faith in the course it has set.

It isn’t.
Egypt has moved fast to manage the impact of the storm - it devalued the Egyptian pound and entered detailed talks with the IMF. It has acted to ensure continuity of supply of key imports and accelerated its programme of cooperation and cross border investment with its Gulf neighbours. Capital has flowed into Egypt from these key partners and the government and private sectors have not been shy in taking difficult decisions.

The nation’s commitment to a sustainable future economy will be on show to the world at the COP27 conference in Sharm El-Sheikh in November.

The course remains set.
But can Egypt reach its ambitious destination – to become a truly diversified and open economy which leverages the strengths of its 100m people? What has the government changed in 2022 and on what will it focus in 2023? How will the nation balance stability with growth?

To answer these questions and more we are returning to Egypt in December. We can promise a day of insightful discussion and informative debate. We’d like you to join us...
