The Global Borrowers & Bond Investors Forum - the key event of the year for the debt capital markets for over a quarter of a century - is back this year in a unique hybrid format. The event will be a completely integrated blend of virtual content and physical meetings. It will continue to allow attendees - both virtual and real - to learn, meet and network with clients and peers.
The global recovery from 2020 will rely heavily on the capital markets, which in turn will need to come to terms with the implications of vast increases in deficits, new issuers, changes to relative credit and risk and a very different political and social backdrop to their activities. At the same time the problems of 2019 - from global warming to Libor transition to Brexit - have not gone away and have the potential to further complicate funding plans for 2021.
We will speak to some of the largest issuers to discuss how they will have to change their funding activities against this backdrop, and to key investors to understand their investment outlook and changed portfolio allocations.
