Over the next 10 years, the Medicare eligible population is expected to grow from 64 million to 78 million beneficiaries. This is being called the “Silver Tsunami” and as we move closer to this reality, healthcare professionals and facilities are faced with many challenges, and called to evaluate how the change in the needs of this aging population will eventually affect the demands placed on the health care system in the future, and hence take action.
For this event, we have gathered a group of experts in their field, to share their knowledge on the matter from the healthcare system provider standpoint, and discuss the following:
Learning Objectives:
• Taking a closer look into the average expected increase in demographics by the year 2030 for the ages 65 and older, in comparison to ages below 65
• Based on the growth of the Medicare population and the expected increase in demand for healthcare services, providers are considering multiple programs to more effectively manage patients outside of hospitals, including acute care hospital-at-home programs under the CMS waiver
• In what ways can we effectively address the financial gap created in the revenue cycle of the healthcare system with this growing Medicare population
