The financial market of Uzbekistan was closed to foreign investors for a long time, and its development was significantly limited. The country has adopted a strategy for the development of the capital market until 2024, which, among other things, provides for the growth of the securities market, the creation of a competitive environment within the country, increasing the attractiveness of the region for international cooperation and the entry of large systemically important enterprises into IPOs.
