Some of the brightest minds in the next generation of credit union leaders will come together during World Council's Young Professional Exchange and Global Youth Summit 2020, co-hosted by the Association of British Credit Unions, Ltd. (ABCUL). Join us in the UK and explore new perspectives on the shared challenges facing financial cooperatives around the world. Network with your global peers and be part of an initiative that will redefine the relationship between financial cooperatives and young people in their communities.
A successful future for credit unions and financial cooperative depends upon leaders who understand the strength and potential of the cooperative model. World Council's YP Exchanges inspire young credit union leaders by exposing them to a new way of thinking.
This multi-day exchange begins with a deep-dive into the local reality for financial cooperatives. During credit union visits and facilitated discussions, our international delegation will engage with their peers in in the UK, sharing new perspectives on credit union operations - including governance, innovative products and services, marketing strategies, community outreach efforts, compliance and technology. Participants will witness the member journey first-hand and see how it compares to their reality back home.
Following several days of motivational exchange in London and Manchester, participants will attend the Global Youth Summit in conjunction with ABCUL's annual conference. This round-table dialog will explore and refine new ideas for addressing the crisis of relevance facing financial cooperatives among young people today.
